Practice Warm-up
Dr. Courtney Livingston, PT, DPT
Have you ever gotten ready to go out dancing or begin a dance class but you're not sure what you should do to warm-up? Then you're in the right place! This course will teach you the 3 most important components of a warm up that every dancer should know. Including these movements in your warm up will not only make you a better dancer, but they will also help prevent injuries down the road. No equipment required, grab a yoga mat or find a space on the floor and let's start getting your body and mind ready to move!
This course is developed and taught by Dr. Courtney Livingston, a clinical doctor of physical therapy and certified strength and conditioning specialist who specializes in working with dancers.
Dr. Courtney graduated from the MGH Institute of Health Professions and works as an orthopedic physical therapist in the Dance Medicine Program at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital outside of Boston, Massachusetts.
